When I got my first project I was in a mess. The job proved to be a lot hard than what it looked like from the outside. I really didn’t know how to organize myself and how to prioritize work. I preferred to hide behind the screen and play around with Excel templates.
But everybody was talking about the project and I had to steer things into the right direction. All I though was: “I need to get through this tough first year!”
Mentoring was not easy to get. All the great project managers were too busy themselves and had no time to sit down with me. I had to learn the process myself. But it was hard.
Fast foward today, I’m managing multi-million IT projects at big firms like Bosch. My projects were all finished in time and budget. I make good money as a project manager, but more important to me than money is the appreciation I get from the people I work with.
My project management mentoring program
Do you want to be a highly productive and happy project manager? Then my project management mentoring program might be interesting for you. A mentorship with me will include weekly 1-2-hour sessions over a period of 1-6 months. It depends on your needs and on your availability.
What can I help you with:
- How to plan projects so they don’t fail
- Developing good work habits (e.g. regular follow-up)
- Improve your communication skills
- Improve your social skills
- Dealing with stress
If you’re interested in getting coached by me, drop me an email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
You have to understand that I choose whom I work with. Not everybody who is a project manager is willing to put in the time and effort to become better. Only some people have the energy and level of introspection to become great leaders. If that’s you, I want to work with you.
